Back to normal finally!!

We’re finally back to our usual 7 degree C weather again!  Still a few bits of snow under the copper beech and the pond is still frozen in the middle (we COULD have skated on it obviously!!). It’s looking like I lost my beloved Prostanthera rotundifolia (Australian mint bush) and a few Grevilleas are looking unhappy. I guess that’s what I get for pushing the zones.  😦

ALmost back to normal here!

Poor Prostanthera  rotundifolia. I’ll definitely find another one…it was glorious this summer. 

40 continuous days with snow cover here on the coast!!!

But, there is a lot of beauty in it!  Hoarfrost?

Beautiful, beautiful light…

Sunshine, blue, blue sky, iced trees, snow covered branches….glorious!!

Meanwhile….indoors…

My Ficus lyrata (fiddle-leaf fig) is clearly loving the light in the sunroom.  I bought it at 2′ at Home Depot for $16.99 a year and a half ago and it’s topping out at 6′ so far.  Both stems are starting new leaves…again!

Kind of beautiful….I grudgingly admit…(mutter, mutter, mutter). I hope everyone is fine and cozy under the blanket of snow. 37 days now of snow cover…and counting!!
